Lofoten Stage Run
Six days, four stages and the whole archipelago under your feet, while we carry your luggage, cook your dinner and book your bed. You run from fishing village to fjord camp with runners from all over the world, and finish in Svolvær on day four.
Four days,
west to east
Kjerkfjorden → Fredvang 20 km · 1 200 m+
Boat from Reine into the fjord, then the wildest terrain of the week: mountain passes, technical trails and the beaches of Kvalvika before the pass down to Fredvang. A bus takes you on to Nusfjord. Sleep in a rorbu at Nusfjord Arctic Resort.
Nusfjord → Leknes 34 km · 800 m+
2K road before a technical trail section before Napp. Then through the underwater tunnel and around Offersøykammen past a stone-age cave, where the trail nearly disappears along the rocky shore, then flat roads into Leknes. Sleep in a rorbu at Lofoten Base Camp.
Rolvsfjorden loop 35 km · 1 400 m+
The long one. Trails over the mountain, easy running along Borgfjorden, then new trails and a fine ridge back down to the fjord camp. Dinner is waiting. Sleep in a cabin at Lofoten Fjord Camp.
Kleppstad → Svolvær 21 km · 1 150 m+
Gravel/tarmac roads to Olderfjorden, a technical ridge, the drop to the power station, and Tjeldbergtinden as the last summit before the tunnel, the harbour and the finish line on Svolvær square. Sleep at Thon Hotel Lofoten, next to the finish.
